Trina Albums for song lyrics and biography.

Trina was born on December 3, 1978 as Katrina Leverne Taylor in Miami, Florida. She had made her living selling real estate before lyricist Trick Daddy had introduced her to the world of rap music. She featured on Trick Daddy's single Nann Nigga in the late 1990's. It is said that her eyes and "nice ass" had gotten her noticed.

Trina's album Da Baddest Bitch sold over 100,000 copies in it's original print. Further releases of the album had brought sales up to 750,000 copies. The singles Pull Over and Da Baddest Bitch became minor hits. Trina toured for a full year after the rellease of the album, and featured on many other artist's singles, including a remix of One Minute Man.

Trina's second album, Diamond Princess, sold almost 70,000 copies in it's first week on the shelves. It debuted at #14 on the charts ans was expected to go platinum. However, disapointing lyrics in songs such as No Panties extinguished the initial excitment of the album. Three years after Diamond Princess's release, the album has sold less than half of the expected one million copies. Trina thus abandoned her musical career and focused on film. 2003's A Miami Tail was a minor film success, but the subsequent Sweet Potato Pie was a total box office failure. Trina started doing lyrics for remixes of other artists work, notably Bab Bitch, Right Thurr, and In Ya Face.

The year 2005 saw Trina remotivated. She made news with her romantic involvement with Lil Wayne, even going so far as to hint at marriage. He, on the other hand, publicly regards the relationship as friendly, like brother and sister. Trina released a new line of perfume, named after her second album in an attempt to boost it's sales by renewing interest in it. A third album was released in October, appropriatly titled Glamorest Life. Glamourest Life surpased both Trina's earlier efforts by debuting an #11 and selling over 75,000 copies in it's first week.
